Created for all your future runs with your baby The Cybex Avi is lightweight and optimized for great running on urban parks and streets. It has a comfortable handlebar that allows for easy steering and soft suspension to provide a comfortable ride. The swivel on the front can be locked to ensure stability while running and the air-filled tires offer comfortable cushioning. It comes with an ergonomically reclining seat which is suitable for babies from birth. It can also be used with any Cybex infant seat or Cot S Carrycot to create a travel system. Reflective details provide safety, while an XL sun canopy offers you and your little one ample protection against the elements.

MadeForMums test-tested the Cybex Avi Spin for us and had the opportunity to go on a test run with one of Australia's best middle distance runners, Genevieve Gregson who recently became mother to her daughter. We asked her what she thought of the pram and what she thought could be improved.

The Avi Spin is an all-terrain stroller that provides the versatility that modern families require from the first day. The front swivel can't be beat for its maneuverability around tight city corners, and the air-filled tires offer comfort when strolling around the city or on nature walks. The swivel is lockable for additional stability when on uneven terrain or when running. The fully reclining seat offers an ergonomic lying flat position that's suitable from birth. The strap that is one-pull makes it easier to get in and out, while the compact folding design makes it easy to store or transport. The wheels can also be removable for an even smaller fold! The brake lever is situated on the right-hand side of the handlebar, which may make it difficult to use with just one hand.

Out N About Nipper V5

The Out N About Nipper V5 allows you to take your child for a smooth jog or off-road walks in total ease. Its lightweight frame, rear suspension and tyres with air-filled treads provide an enjoyable ride on all terrains including city streets and scenic countryside routes. This single pushchair is suitable from birth and can be used with a variety of car seats (with the appropriate adapters) to create a travel system.

The V5 model is equipped with water-resistant fabrics, a new magnetic peekaboo window, a better five-point safety harness and an upgraded one-hand fast fold mechanism. It also comes with a rain cover and a basket. If you are planning to use your buggy from birth, you can purchase a baby's insert. You'll need to purchase the newborn insert separately in the event that you intend to use your Nipper in conjunction with a car-seat.

The Nipper Double is at the higher end of the price range for side-by-side prams. However, it is robust and well-made and is suitable for infants and children up to the age of four. The absence of a parent-facing seat options, as well as not being compatible with car seats, can place it in a higher price category than other models, however the excellent maneuverability and ability to deal with all terrains make it a strong contender.

The user's manual is clear and easy to read. The only criticisms are that the hoods can be noisy and clunky, and that the Velcro used to close them could wake your baby up. This is a problem, especially if you are walking around the park in peace and you don't want other parents be disturbed. The absence of a storage area beneath the seats was mentioned as a disadvantage.

Britax Romer

Britax Romer is an award-winning brand dedicated to 'protecting dreams' and making sure your child's safety possible with child mobility solutions. Their goal is to ensure family travel is safe and they do this by offering car seats that have been well-tested and durable.

The Dualfix M i-Size is one of their car seats that is worth investing in. It's incredibly simple to install (it is able to snap right into the chassis, with a soothing sound) and will last until they're 4 years old.

It's designed with soft, deep side wings that wrap around your child to reduce the force of a collision and their high back design provides the best head protection. It comes with a clever feature which will let you know whether the seat is properly installed.

There's a tonne of other features like smart lighting that changes colour to indicate when your child is hungry or sleepy. There's a ventilation window too to keep your baby cool, and there's an extra-large hood that comes with mosquito guards.

It has some drawbacks, however it's not cheap, and if you're seeking a product to use from newborn and beyond then you may struggle to find a cheaper deal elsewhere. It's also very heavy, and you might need someone to help you move it into your car. Another thing to consider is that there are a few small honeycomb-like exposed areas on the bottom of the seat where the vomit and spilled smoothies could migrate - you'll have to be cautious in the event that your child is susceptible to sickness.
